Ms. Daisy Gore
Legal Intern
Daisy is currently a Legal Intern at Mbikiwa Legal Practice, where she is gaining practical exposure and contributing to the firm’s work with diligence and consistency. She is developing her skills through involvement across a range of legal matters, assisting in research, drafting and general legal support while building a solid foundation for her career.
AREAS OF LAW
Daisy has cultivated a keen interest in Employment and Labour Law, Family Law, Corporate and Commercial Law and Media Law, each of which engages distinct yet interrelated aspects of Botswana’s legal framework from the regulation of labour relations and the adjudication of intimate family disputes, to the structuring of commercial activity and the governance of information in the public sphere.
In furtherance, Daisy distinguished herself in her final year of study through a compelling research paper in LAW 535 titled “Open Justice and the Broadcasting of Court Proceedings: A Comparative Analysis between Botswana and South Africa.” Demonstrating both intellectual rigor and a nuanced grasp of media law, she earned Distinction (A). The research paper was completed under the supervision of the esteemed Associate Professor of Law and Dean, Badala Tachilisa Balule.
This achievement not only reflects Daisy’s analytical precision but also affirms her emergence as a formidable and discerning voice in media law and one deeply engaged with the evolving relationship between the judiciary and the public sphere.
